Our wood furniture items contain very small amounts of wood dust. Research supports health- related risks due to wood dust but finds that the amount of exposure to wood dust is directly related to the health risk. Dangerous exposure limits are generally found in the facility where wood is being sawed and/or sanded.
I had a friend help hang the porch swing and put it together. It took longer than expected. Two of the screws had to be loosened on a slat as the arm attachment screw wouldn't go in for part of it obstructing the predrilled hole that the smaller screw was in. The Allen wrench maybe should be straight as it could be inserted into a drill providing for easier connection. The screws were somewhat hard to get in trying to turn with the Allen wrench once it was being screwed into the arm.
There were no screw hooks for connecting to the roof of the porch. I thought everything needed was included. I supposed that was because the screw hooks weren't considered part of the accessories, standing alone. The swing is up and I'm enjoying relaxing in it and remembering when I was a kid swinging in one at my grandparents' house. The traditional look brings back those memories.
