I have looked forward to purchasing the Amish Hickory (rocker) for years. However, with the surface of our back area, my husband felt it better to get the glider instead. I agree with most about the directions. They are not "awful", but definitely lacking. (May the company could place a tutorial on their website.)
We went line by by line, slowly, and progressed, while only being unable to locate one hole! Also, I agree with a few who stated the glider is not as comfortable as the rocker. I had only sat in rockers and they fit me like a glove. I need a strong lumbar support. You can see the lumbar support is not as pronounced as the rockers (in pictures, anyway). The fame of the back looks the same as in the rocker, so not sure why they are different. If feel sure there is a good explanation. Nonetheless, I am pleased and will be enjoying for many years. At a later date, we will be ordering rockers for the front (smooth surface) and can enjoy them both.
