TREX OUTDOOR FURNITURE material is made of HDPE plastic resin that has been purified and UV protected. It is generally cared for and cleaned with soap and warm water. For certain stains and additional cleaning power, a 1/3 bleach and 2/3 water solution can be used on the product without affecting the color. Also, a popular method of cleaning is a high pressure power wash. (Not to exceed 1,500 psi, which is the equivalent of a car wash.) The surface characteristics of the product may require the use of a soft bristle brush to get into the creases.
The hardware used in the assembly and construction of our furniture is an 18-8 commercial grade stainless steel that has an additional Xylan protective and cosmetic coating. Although the quality of the hardware has a high level of corrosive resistance, the hardware can show some sign of corrosion in salt air environments.
A practical solution to these signs of corrosion would be to wash the product with soap and water. Use a soft bristle brush to scrub the corroding areas of the hardware. Also, use appliance touch up paint in the appropriate color to protect the hardware. Appliance touch up paint can be purchased at local hardware stores.

POLYWOOD recycled lumber is made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), UV- inhibited pigment systems, foaming compounds, and selected process additives. HDPE, which is the primary raw material, is derived from post-consumer products such as milk jugs, detergent bottles, or other HDPE post-industrial plastics. After undergoing an extensive decontamination process, the pure HDPE is compounded into solid board stock material. By utilizing an eco-friendly production process, the finished product contains mostly recycled plastic by weight.
HDPE products are made with a single, purified polymer, allowing them to be manufactured to exact, reproducible specifications every time. This process ensures integrity and consistency across our entire product line. In addition, they demonstrate outstanding resistance to all types of weather, corrosive substances, oil, fuel, insects, mold, mildew, and food and beverage stains, just to name a few. HDPE products don't absorb moisture, either so they won't rot, splinter or crack. Nor do they require painting, waterproofing, staining or similar types of maintenance.

This refers to the time from when you place your order, to the time it leaves the warehouse. The total delivery time for your order is calculated from the time your order is placed, until you receive it. The diagram below shows how the total delivery time is broken down into pre-ship processing time and shipping time.
Processing time is the time it takes from when you submit your order to when the product leaves the warehouse. The "Ships Within" time frame listed with each of our products on the website applies to this time frame. For example, if your order a product that reads "Ships Within: 2 Weeks", this means that the product typically leaves the factory within two weeks. If there will be any additional time required to process your order, we will notify you immediately to confirm the delivery period. This time is needed for products that are shipped to you directly from our manufacturers. The manufacturers need this time to fulfill your order. In some cases, the items are custom built.

Did your shipment arrive damaged or defective?
Please report damaged or defective merchandise to us immediately by email phone. Photos of the items and the packaging would be greatly appreciated. This will speed up our resolution process. We strongly recommend at the time of delivery, if your notice any cartons that look dented, crushed or just not right, open them immediately and inspect the contents. If the contents appear to be damaged, please notate it on the delivery ticket, refuse that item only and contact us as soon as possible for instructions.
