CARE & MAINTENANCE

Highwood products are designed to provide years of comfort with very little maintenance. That’s the beauty of Highwood after all — the look of natural wood without the headache of annual painting or staining.

Our unique synthetic material, combined with 304 grade stainless hardware, means that you can leave our products outside year round, whatever the climate. For detailed information on how to clean or repair minor dings on our products, please take a look at our “Care & Maintenance” section.

Here however are just a few tips to keep your Highwood products looking like new:

  • At the start of each season, (or as needed) use hot soapy water and a brush to clean the surface from dirt & grime that build up on your products.
  • Give an extra scrub on edges of the product that have been machined/cut (front edges of arms on chairs).
  • For stubborn stains you can carefully use a power washer to remove grime, but be sure to use a medium/wide nozzle (fine/narrow nozzles can damage the product).
  • In day-to-day use wipe up any stains or spills on your Highwood products as it happens with a damp cloth.

Order Confirmation
As soon as you place your order you will receive an order confirmation e-mail.  This means that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorized your credit card for the purchase.  As soon as we receive your order we automatically reach out to our suppliers to confirm that it is in stock and available for immediate shipment.  If your item is on backorder or unavailable we will void the pre-authorization and reach out to you via e-mail.  If your item(s) are available for immediate shipment (within 5 business days) we will process the charges and submit the order for shipment.

Order Shipment
If your order is received, the inventory is in stock and your credit card information matches the information, In most cases, we can ship within 5 business days. We will send you tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address your provide when checking out.  If you do not receive tracking information from us within six business days of your order please email us at orders@outdoorsrockingchair.com.

Miscellaneous Shipping Information

  • We cannot ship to PO boxes.
  • Non-standard shipping surcharges will apply to isolated service areas, such as remote areas, areas not readily accessible by a delivery vehicle, islands, etc., as defined by the shipper. These circumstances occur less than 1% of the time.

Delivery Times

You can estimate the deliver time to your home or business by viewing the "Ships Within" information listed with every product. This refers to the time from when you place your order, to the time it leaves the warehouse. The total delivery time for your order is calculated from the time your order is placed, until you receive it. The diagram below shows how the total delivery time is broken down into pre-ship processing time and shipping time. 


Processing time is the time it takes from when you submit your order to when the product leaves the warehouse. The "Ships Within" time frame listed with each of our products on the website applies to this time frame. For example, if your order a product that reads "Ships Within: 2 Weeks", this means that the product typically leaves the factory within two weeks. If there will be any additional time required to process your order, we will notify you immediately to confirm the delivery period. This time is needed for products that are shipped to you directly from our manufacturers. The manufacturers need this time to fulfill your order. In some cases, the items are custom built. 
Shipping time is measured when your order leaves the warehouse to when it arrives at your address. Actual shipping time can vary between 2-5 business days. Contact our helpful customer service experts at ( 888-412-2269  for more information.

 

Did your shipment arrive damaged or defective?

Please report damaged or defective merchandise to us immediately by email phone. Photos of the items and the packaging would be greatly appreciated. This will speed up our resolution process. We strongly recommend at the time of delivery, if your notice any cartons that look dented, crushed or just not right, open them immediately and inspect the contents. If the contents appear to be damaged, please notate it on the delivery ticket, refuse that item only and contact us as soon as possible for instructions.

Fabulous bentwood Hickory Rockers, Swing, and Table

Thought long and hard on this $1800 purchase. Could not have made a better choice. Free shipping compared to over $600 to ship on another rocker package. The hickory is iron hard and assembly went smoothly. Would definitely recommend to a friend. Also great customer service resolved a minor issue with a missing item on the order. LOTS OF COMPLIMENTS from all who have seen the furniture.

Great customer service if you need it!

One issue on product delivery has been resolved. We are extremely pleased with the bent wood furniture in rustic hickory. We have had lots of inquiries on where we purchased. This furniture will serve us well for many many years to come.

Assembly required

It took a few reversals of the assembly process and I’m pretty good at assembling things. The instructions were written by someone who has probably assembled hundreds of these chairs so it took several readings of the instructions to get to the end. I did find it odd that a couple of the included screws were square head instead of Phillips head like the rest. But, in the end, the chair turned out nicely. My wife enjoys her birthday present.

Great look great fit

We purchased this as a replacement for our old swing that came apart because of rotting wood parts. This new cypress swing fits perfectly into the old stand and is very comfortable. I also like the craftsmanship and the light finish. It also came with good instructions and was easy to assemble. You do have to have a few tools to properly tighten the nuts and bolts. And I would also recommend a power tool instead of a manual screw driver to attach the risers and armrests with the included long wood screws.

LOVE LOVE MY GLIDER -

I finally have it installed, bought my cushions and my glider is everything I could have hoped for. Thank you. I would love to send you a photo of it. Is that possible? I show it to everyone and my lawn guy asked about it. I told him I would give him the information.
